Once again, Sharp, the leader in LCD technology, has established a new design standard for LCD TVs. The new LC32D64U AQUOS raises the bar by fitting a large screen size into a incredibly small footprint. By changing the layout of circuits inside the LCD panel and by cutting the number of parts, Sharp’s engineers were able to reduce the depth by 30%, allowing placement of the LC32D64U model in virtually any type setting. The LC32D64U utilizes Sharp’s proprietary Advanced Super View/Black TFT Panel with multi-pixel technology, providing 10,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio with Enhanced Picture Contrast Technology and 6ms response time. The LC32D64U is a HDTV with built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC tuners and include 2 HDMI inputs, compatible with 1080p signals, a PC input and 2 HD component video inputs. Side terminals are included for convenience as well as RS-232C input for control. The LC32D64U features a sleek piano black cabinet with subtle, recessed bottom-mounted speakers. The set I received is a total lemon. It worked OK for about 10 days, and then various functions just stopped working, one after another.
I am returning the set to Amazon for a refund. I don’t want a replacement and I don’t want it fixed – I just don’t trust any set that would cr@p out like this after only 10 days. I won’t buy another Sharp set either.
When this happened, I looked on the Sharp website and they don’t even list this model as being for sale anymore there. So maybe it’s a discontinued item? Wish I had known that before I bought it from Amazon.
I’ve been an Amazon customer since about Day One and have always been pleased with their service and willingness to take back items that are defective.
I was not very pleased with the so-called “white glove” delivery service though, and I will have to send it back through the same freight people, so that’s a drag. It would be much easier to send it back by UPS and the box is not too big, but Amazon says no, I have to wait to be contacted by the freight company again and then they will come back and get it.
I love Amazon and I love my UPS guy, but this “white glove” business I do not care for and I will never order anything from Amazon again that has to be delivered that way.

It is a nice TV/Monitor what ever your purpose be. But I got it with the intent of using it as a computer monitor. I was excited as I took it out of the box but that excitement soon dwindled as I sought to use my higher resolutions and the TV was not able to do so. I am a graphics student so I wanted to use this screen to get as much screen real-estate as possible but I was a bit disappointed in that department. The screen goes up to some higher resolutions but not past the 1200 mark. And I wanted to use it at 1800+. So, if you have the same intent buy another screen as I am doing or get a video to HDMI converter and see how that treats you. Aside from that the screen is nice. The speakers are okay but there are far better speakers on lower end screens. Just something to keep in mind. All in all it is a really nice screen and looks gorgeous. If i ever get a flat screen TV it will probably be this one. So you decide. Happy shopping

Well I Got this tv within 4 days of purchase i ordered it Sunday and got it Thursday it has great piture quality and vivid colors and it also works great as a pc monitor my video games look amazing and it was great investment for this tv so anyone looking for a good buy on a tv buy this one

Just received my lc32d64u this week!
I cannot tell if the unit is supposed to do this, or its faulty, but when I switch channels, there is a lag, I see a black screen then the new channel with the info in the top right corner.
That is frustrating.
Does anyone else have this issue??

I ordered this Sharp Aquos 32-inch LCD for my bedroom a few weeks ago. I have always had good experiences with Amazon and this one was no exception. The TV arrived to my door for free (free shipping) in perfect condition.
