This my first lcd and although I love the flat screen and minimal glare. I still feel it is a bit grainy for a 1080. Overall this TV is a great buy. I believe next time I will spend the extra $$ and purchase an aquos or plasma. But I still say I love the TV for the $$.

  2. So I helped my friend shop for a 37 inch tv for the living room and this was without doubt the best for the money. It’s blacks were right up there with the Samsung, was a little better than the Panny and Sony, and was much better than the LG. It’s got a matte screen, so the reflections aren’t to bad. There is no clouding or flashlight issues that you have with the Sony and Samsung. Color accuracy is a little off but luckily the picture menu allows you to correct it. HD viewing is excellent with 1080P. The audio is also very very good, except you get a little vibration with certain dialog with the bass turned all the way up. The remote is excellent and is very user friendly. The menu system is very simple and easy to use. I ran an HD calibration disc and came up with these settings. You can adjust the backlight and contrast to your liking, but don’t change the brightness setting or it will throw the blacks off.
