This is the first HDTV that we have owned. We purchased it to replace a tube tv that bit the dust. The Regza tv looks very stylish and the picture is great. This thing is perfect for watching the latest dvds on.
The picture is sharp and clear. There is a world of difference between this tv and the Magnavox it replaced. The colors are bright and vibrant. If you haven’t compared the old type tvs with these newer ones you need to. You will be amazed.
The sound is a little flat, but the salesman told me that this is common w/flat tvs. He said “flat tvs have flat sound.” The audio is good for watching, but you need a surround set up to feel really get into those action scenes.
We liked it so much that we purchased a 26″ Regza for our bedroom. My wife and I went for one that was refurbished because we could get one with a dvd player built in. This allowed us to get rid of some of the bedroom clutter.

My first foray into HDTV was based upon favorable reviews of this product by Consumer Reports in the Dec. 2008 issue. Author explained 720p was more than adequate for a set less than 50 inches. I would agree. Phenomenal, bright picture and set-up is a breeze. Using a rabbit ears in Chicago and picture is excellent. Price via amazon was reasonable.
