One Response to “Westinghouse TX-42F450S 42″ LCD 1080p HDTV”

  1. I picked this out of a lineup of TVs as having the second best picture. I didn’t focus on brand names at all. The Samsung took first place, of course–but was $300 more.

I googled this TV while in the store and reviewed the specs on Amazon.com. The more I’ve read and learned about this TV the more anxious I got to buy it.

I’ve had it less than a day, but wow! It’s been awesome on the SD Wii and HD (upscaled) Transformers as well as 1080i from DirecTV. It has features I never new were features even after two years of reading and studying.

One important thing to note, the contrast ratio is misreported on the web. It’s actually 2,000:1.

Also, Amazon reports that it is a 120hz unit…but I could not find that evidenced anywhere else. If this unit isn’t…it’s still a steal. If it is 120hz, this unit is highway robbery.

    Either way, I’m thrilled.
